How to look after your chopping board and minimise cracking:
- Wash your chopping board with soapy warm water and dry them thoroughly. Dry your chopping board on a drying rack so both sides of the board can dry simultaneously.
- Re-oil your chopping board with mineral oil every three to four months to prolong their life and repel moisture.
- Do not wash your chopping board using your dishwasher as they are quite harsh on your board.
- Store your chopping board upright to prevent moisture build up on one side of the board and to allow air to flow on both sides.
- You can use lemon and salt to clean your chopping board. Sprinkle salt on the board and rub the board using half a lemon. Leave the board for 5 minutes and then rinse well afterwards.
We try our best selecting the highest grade timbers for our products. Occasionally these timbers have gum veins or knots in them. These are unique characteristics of natural timbers and they are not a defect.
